Though Nakashima Propeller was founded in 2009, the overall company, Nakashima Holdings, dates back to 1926. The company was founded in Shimoishii, Okayama City, where they started by branding small-sized propellers.

Currently, they can be found in Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, and several other locations across the globe. Since their inception, they have made a name as one of the worlds leading propeller manufacturers for large vessels.

Nakashima Propeller runs a built-to-order company, recognising that, while the propeller is only one part of an entire vessel, it is essential to a ships propulsion. For this reason, each created propeller is uniquely designed to fit the vessel in question, focusing on safety, speed, and comfort.

To make the best propellers, Nakashima Propellers tests each of its propeller designs with CFD-based simulation. This way, they can predict each designs performance. Alongside this, they carry out model tests to confirm their results.

Their propellers are categorized into main propellers (fixed pitch, controllable, CFRP, and electric propulsion systems), auxiliary propellers (side thrusters and SCHOTTEL Pump-Jet), and energy-saving devices (ECO-Cap and Ultimate Rudder). Alongside propellers, Nakashima Propeller also offers other marine equipment, such as shafting systems and rudders.

No matter the size or power of your vessel, Nakashima Propeller has the equipment for you. Their work is highly researched, efficient, and cost-effective.
